   not important at all the only important relationships are britain, canada, japan, israel, and maybe germany.

   Well I’m not doing your assignment young lady, but I will suggest a few things.
   Look at how Aust has viewed Indon leaders Sukarno and Suharto for good background especially in politics.
   A lot of our trade (something like 60%) goes through the country so they do have an important role in regulating (or not) trade security for Oz.
   Get onto the Aust and Indon government websites for a good start. Try and find a few independent assessments and critical works. ‘The Monthly’ is a great periodical that casts a critical eye on Australian policies. Tey are online as well.

   Very important they are our largest neighbour who could turned into our enemy so we need to nuture that relationship.
